The Azura Reunion
On December 26, 2006, members of the Azura family gathered at Emmanuel's house to welcome Baby Krys into the world. The McDonalds and Uncle Sitas traveled all the way from Maryland and with them came Manong Shionel who was accompanied by Jay all the way from the Philippine. Mama Layda and Papa Tirso were also present as they stayed with Lina for year while Eric was deployed to Iraq. The Finleys, Paul Nacionales and Marie Nacionales families flew across the country to join the celebration. Mom and Dad endured the very cold winter to witness the birth of their 5th grandchild. It was a joyous ocassion. The men experimented on roasting a pig in the dead of winter. It was quite an adventure. The second cousins enjoyed playing with each other while the big people enjoyed the food. Boy, we sure know how to throw a party. We spent the next day visiting Fort Knox where our cameras were almost confiscated because they thought that we were taking illegal pictures of the base. Thank goodness for digital cameras. We also enjoyed a game of bowling and shopping on base.
